Jon & Lyn Cheney are
the owners of Riverbend Marine. Jon holds a USCG
unlimited license and has been captain and manager of
small boats to mega yachts his entire life. He
met Lyn in Plymouth, England. Lyn went to work
with Jon on super yachts as executive chef service
manager. After thirty plus years of traveling
around the world, Jon and Lyn decided it was time to
settle down and find a smaller town in need of a high
quality marine business. After over a year of
searching in Florida, Jon and Lyn decided St.
Augustine was just that place and in need for a
dependable customer service oriented marine boat,
motor and service dealership.
Jon and Lyn are active
participants in the local marine industry and enjoy
meeting the local boating community.

Customer
satisfaction is Riverbend Marine's first objective and
is orchestrated from management down to the service
manager, sales manager, accounting, counter person,
technicians, riggers, and cleaning personnel. It
is essential that all departments work together as a
team to ensure every customer has a pleasant
experience in their purchase at Riverbend Marine,
whether it is a boat purchase or part or accessory or
having a boat and motor serviced. It is not
unusual to see Jon turning a wrench or sweeping the
shop floor or selling a boat in the showroom.

As one of
the owners of Riverbend Marine, I know first
impressions mean everything. When you step into
our store our knowledgeable and well-trained sales and
counter staff are there to greet you. We like to
treat every customer as if they are our only customer,
giving them the time and attention to be able to make
the right decisions regarding their purchase, be it a
boat or a part for their boat. My job is to
ensure this happens, that our customers leave with a

Doug has
been in the marine business over seventeen
years. He started as a marine engine technician
in 1990 and went to work as service manager for Grady
White, and then Sea Ray in San Diego,
California. Sea Ray transferred Doug to their
Palm Coast facility and he eventually came to
Riverbend Marine. Doug is factory-certified by
Yamaha, Honda and Mercury. With Doug's
management and technician experience, he is able to
direct our staff of factory-trained technicians and
riggers to provide the best possible service
available.
